Alex Gamela is a freelance journalist and an active researcher of the future of media. He has experience in TV production, radio broadcasting and print, and has invested personally in the last few years in learning new skills for the journalism trade.

He wrote a blog called The Lake that garnered him quite a reputation among new media pros and academics, dedicated to the evolution and the future of Journalism, and became one of the most popular media related Twitter users from Portugal.

Currently he is expanding his knowledge  taking the MA Online Journalism at the Birmingham City University, in the UK, under the direction of Paul Bradshaw.

He also writes a weekly column for the portuguese website Rascunho, about these issues, and has been invited as a speaker for the Journalist’s Convention in Guimarães. He is also part of the list of Best Journalism Blogs of the British website Journalism.co.uk.

Alexandre Gamela é um jornalista freelancer e um investigador activo sobre o futuro dos media. Ele tem experiência em produção de Televisão, Rádio e Imprensa, e tem feito um investimento pessoal nos últimos anos em adquirir novas competências para a actividade jornalística.

Ele escreveu um blog intitulado O Lago que lhe grangeou uma boa reputação entre profissionais dos novos media e académicos, dedicado à evolução e futuro do Jornalismo, e é um dos utilizadores do Twitter relacionados com a actividade mais populares de Portugal.
